F4 Tornado in Mississippi: Disaster Relief Efforts

Writer's picture: The Freedom TourThe Freedom Tour

Hundreds of lives have been disrupted by a devastating F4 tornado that hit Friday night in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. The Freedom Tour was holding up just outside Jackson, Mississippi on Sunday night because another storm with tornado warnings was rolling through.

Oringially, we planned to leave Monday morning to help relief efforts but we were so moved by the devastation, we decided to leave Saturday evening. We loaded up a semi load of supplies at 9PM on Saturday to bring hope to a town where some have lost everything.

In our semi we brought an assortment of goods and supplies we regularly keep on hand for this exact need. Things like propane grills, water, non-perishable food items, anything you can think of that someone would need if they lost everything.

The governor of Mississippi has declared a state of emergency. As of this morning, President Biden approved a disaster declaration in Mississippi.
